COURSE OVERVIEW
This qualification reflects the role of workers who assist teachers and support student learning in government funded course and range of classroom settings under the guidance of a teacher or other educational professional.
Workers may be involved in facilitation of learning for a range of instructional groupings, including for those students in need of additional support. In these roles, the education support worker sources and analysis information from diverse sources, may work with limited direct supervision.
Education support workers work mainly with students in classroom settings in primary or secondary schools, as defined by State/Territory legislation.

ACPS ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Prior to enrolment or commencement of training, you will be required to complete a literacy and numeracy assessment and a pre-training interview. These will assist with determining your suitability for the Free Courses Cranbourne, verify your training plan, and identify any learning support needs.

ACPS has a Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) Policy, to ensure that an individual’s prior learning, achieved through formal
and informal training, work experience, or other life experiences, is appropriately.
WORK PLACEMENT
To achieve this qualification, the individual must have completed a total of at least 100 hours of work in a regulated education
service in Australia as detailed in the Assessment Requirements of units of competency.

To be awarded the qualification of CHC40221 – Certificate IV in School-Based Education Support learners must successfully
